In order to optimize the selection of devices and/or equipment for metering stations, the place of their installation and connection to the existing process control system, our company provides for the on-site visit of specialists to the customer’s facility.
Specialist on-site visit occurs after receiving a completed questionnaire from the Customer.
Site survey shall include:
-
clarification of the piping system features at the proposed installation site;
-
determination of the pipeline straight section minimum lengths;
-
selection of the optimal location and type of installation (submersible, flanged, welded, threaded, etc.), considering smooth installation;
-
assessment of the pipeline at the insertion point (pipeline material, on top thermal insulation, plaque on the walls, etc.);
-
clarification of the measured medium features (including corrosion activity, toxicity, explosiveness, etc.) and the environment;
-
clarification of process parameters, the necessary degree of dust and moisture protection of equipment;
-
clarification of requirements for special designs (food, oxygen, nuclear plants, underwater, parameters of possible mechanical effects on devices);
-
selection of installation kits and related equipment (cabinets, impulse lines, mate flanges, straight sections, confusers/diffusers, jet rectifiers, etc.);
-
clarification of the SCADA structure and communications protocol (input signals of secondary devices, controllers);
-
measurement of the parameters of the electric network to which the equipment will be connected, and ground loops;
-
assessment of the need to use industrial noise suppression devices in the supply network (installation of filters).
Based on the survey outcomes, a metering station is designed and its a draft is sent to the customer for approval.
