TRSG–IRGA non-volatile gas meter
We have broadened the range of our serial products.
Serial production of the previously developed TRSG-IRGA gas meter based on the Irga-2 computer (version 4) and the Irga-RV flow meter has been launched.
The TRSG-IRGA gas meter uses now lithium batteries. The minimum service life without changing batteries is 4 years.
This development is especially relevant for sites without power supply.
The TRSG-IRGA gas meter is designed for commercial and technological measurement and metering of gas, set to standard conditions, the volume of smoothly changing gas flows, the density of which under standard conditions can vary from 0.08 to 3.00 kg/m3.
The TRSG–IRGA measures instantaneous values of gas supply parameters (flow rate, pressure, temperature) and recalculates the flow rate and amount of gas for standard conditions, archives and stores: the results of measurements and calculations, the time of the emergency situations and cases of interference with the operation of the meter, and also ensures their registration and transfer to a remote server.
The meter includes:
-
the Irga-2 gas computer (gas corrector) (versions 1-4);
-
Irga-RV vortex flow meter (basic complete set*)
-
pressure sensors
-
thermal converters
* Can be equipped with the Irga-RU ultrasonic flow meter
or the Irga-RS jet flow meter.
Measurements are taken by the meter in accordance with document No. GL-02V. TRSG-IRGA gas meters. Measurement Methodology for Gas Flow and Volume.
Measurement Methodology has been approved by the Mendeleyev Russian National Scientific Research Metrology Institute Certificate No. 2550/01-2006 of 31 March 2006 and entered in the Russian Federal Register under No. FR.1.29.2011.10697.
The TRSG–IRGA gas meters are used in natural and associated gas pipelines in Russia: Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Sakhalin, etc., as well as other countries: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine.
The products are included in the state register of measuring instruments and have certificates of conformity of the Russian Federation and countries: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine.
For operation in explosive areas, the devices with the Intrinsically Safe Electrical Circuit protection (ExiallC) are used. The gas meter is protected from unauthorized access to its operation and setting.
The Irga-2 computer, as a part of the meter, enables operation of 1 to 4 independent measurement channels.
The Irga-2 computer, as a part of the meter, measures, calculates, stores and displays the following information on the LCD screen:
-
current date and time, hours and minutes;
-
channel number;
-
current, monthly, daily, hourly average gas pressure in pipelines, MPa;
-
current, average monthly, daily average, hourly average gas temperature in pipelines, °С;
-
current flow rate under operating and standard conditions, m3/hour;
-
hourly, daily and monthly gas volumes under operating and standard conditions, thousand m3;
-
total gas volume cumulatively for the measurement period set to standard conditions, thousand m3;
-
total operating time and standard operating time of the counter, h;
-
emergency operating time, h: using power, sensors, at a flow rate less than the lower set point.
The TRSG–IRGA gas meter with the Irga-RV vortex flow meter (basic version)
The TRSG–IRGA gas meter is used for: metering natural gas (according to GOST 5542-87), associated petroleum gases, inert gases, oxygen, hydrogen, air, nitrogen, food gas mixtures (biogon, etc.), carbon dioxide and any other single and multicomponent gases, not aggressive to materials of the gas-path part of flow meters.
2550/01-2006 of 31 March 2006.
For operation in explosive areas, the devices with the Intrinsically Safe Electrical Circuit protection (0Ехia[ia]IIBT3) are used. The explosion-proof version is equipped with the Irga-BP power supply unit with an integrated spark protection barrier and, if necessary, a separate Corund M-3 (M-4) spark protection barrier.
The lengths of the straight sections of the measuring pipeline are at least 10 DN upflows and 5 DN downflows the meter, if flow straightener is installed, then, 5 and 3 DN, respectively.
The temperature of the measured gas is from - 55 to + 300 °C, depending on the type and design of the flow meter.
Differences between the TRSG-IRGA gas meter and the Irga-RS jet flow meter
The Irga-RS jet flow meter is used for: metering natural gas (according to GOST 5542), associated petroleum gases, inert gases, oxygen, hydrogen, air, nitrogen, food gas mixtures (biogon, etc.), carbon dioxide and any other single and multicomponent gases, not aggressive to materials of the gas-path part of flow meters.
A jet flow meter can only measure purified gases.
Such a meter is well suited for measuring small, intermittent flows.
Since the basis of the jet flow meter is a constricting device, the size range starts with DN = 10 mm, then, theoretically, the TRSG-IRGA gas meter with the Irga-RS jet flow meter can be manufactured to measure an
arbitrarily small flow rate.
It is especially convenient with this meter to keep technological and commercial records of oxygen and hydrogen.
